About this pipe

This is the pipe Nu-Rail® and Speed-Rail® fittings are made for: 6061-T6 aluminum structural pipe in true IPS sizes, with a Schedule 40 wall. It's light enough to carry and cut on site, stiff enough for handrails, racks and frames, and it won't rust.

We cut it to the length you choose, 2, 4, 6 or 8 feet, so it arrives ready to slide into your fittings. The finish is bare mill aluminum, straight from the mill with no coating, so it may show light handling marks. It's the same finish as our standard fittings.

Sizes

Nominal 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2" IPS, matching our fitting sizes exactly. Pick the same size for the pipe and the fittings, for example 1-1/2" pipe with 1-1/2" fittings.

Ordering notes

Pipe is cut to your order and is final sale; it can't be returned. Longer lengths ship as oversize packages, so 6 and 8 ft pieces cost noticeably more to ship than short ones; you'll see the exact shipping price at checkout before you pay. Shipping by length

  1. 1–3 ft $ Standard package. Ships at regular parcel rates.
  2. 4–7 ft $$ Long package. Costs more to ship than short lengths.
  3. 8 ft $$$$ Oversize package. Our most expensive length to ship. Call for a freight quote on big orders.

You'll see the exact shipping price at checkout before you pay. Pieces of the same length usually ship together in one tube. Pipe may ship separately from your fittings, and from a different location.

Steel, galvanized & stainless

We also cut black steel, galvanized and stainless pipe to size. It's too heavy to sell online, so call and we'll quote the pipe and freight together.

How it goes together

  1. Slide it on Cut pipe to length and slip the fitting over the end. No threading.
  2. Position it Slide to height and set the angle before you lock it.
  3. Tighten the set screws Lock it with a hex key. Loosen it to adjust or take it apart later.
